John Calvert-Jones from Bath based financial services company Fidelius is gearing up to tackle a 60-mile bike ride in aid of charity.  John is to head for the hills as part of the city’s annual Bike Bath event taking place this weekend (22nd and 23rd June) to fundraise for the firm’s charity of the year, Hope for Tomorrow.

Hope for Tomorrow is a cancer charity dedicated to bringing cancer treatment closer to home. Its Mobile Chemotherapy Units bring vital treatments to patients, reducing travel and waiting times, helping to avoid the stress of visiting busy hospitals. John hopes to raise sufficient funds to buy Drivers Reverse Warning System for their Mobile Chemotherapy Units and Sat Nav Systems for the Nurses Support Vehicles.

John commented: “I love a challenge and leaped at the chance to get involved with Bike Bath and cycle through the hilly Somerset countryside in aid of Hope for Tomorrow. Cancer affects so many of us, whether directly or indirectly.

“Hope for Tomorrow plays a really important role in cancer patients’ lives by alleviating some of the stresses and strains associated with receiving treatment. For this reason Fidelius has chosen to support the charity throughout 2013. I am excited to participate in the fundraising effort and do my bit for this worthy cause.”
